Chuck Woodson Art

Charles Richard “Chuck” Woodson is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer Four (CW4) with over twenty-four years of service. When his wife Sherry, of over forty-five years, passed away in 2013 he returned to school and obtained a joint BA/MA at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, California. While attending MIIS Chuck also took classes in art at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California, and has been painting ever since. Art has provided Chuck with a source of healing from trauma experienced while in service to his country and helps him deal with the loss of his wife. Many of the paintings he paints are painted from nature photos Sherry took. All of his paintings are original acrylic on canvas with either brushes or palette knives.
